Recently, the mother of one of the girls I tutor gave me a copy of her first published book. I initially read it out of obligation but was surprised to find how intrigued I became. It truly was one of those 'can't put it down' books.
The Doctor's Wife by Elizabeth Brundage is a psychological thriller that centers around the abortion issue. Often, I am turned off by overdone topics, especially those with a heavy political background, but the angle with which she chose to address this was cleverly done and provided for a great read.
Should you need a seriously last minute gift, or you're looking for something good to purchase with a gift certificate, consider this book. I really enjoyed it.
Merry Christmas!!!
