This is not easy...so many choices!
The GPS, cell phone and digicam are pretty handy. Jed and I flew to Japan from Detroit several times without the luxury of behind the seat airplane TV and that was torture. So that too is important. But overall, I think the internet is the best...what's your vote?

Posted by karen at February 25, 2008 12:43 PMi agree, internet has got to be the best, especially because many of the other choices only exist because of the internet. however, they didn't list wii or xbox on there... that would have made made a huge difference in my choice (but again, they use internet too... so, yeah, gotta be internet!)
Posted by: jed at February 26, 2008 01:46 PMCell phone! When I was backpacking I was more likely to get cell phone service than internet service, and I like the idea of having a 911 in my pocket in case of snakebite, grizzly attack, or a sprained ankle in the dreaded Rock-sylvania section of the App Trail. I'm sure it will come in just as handy when navigating the treacherous landscape of traveling with kids...
Posted by: carrie at February 26, 2008 08:09 PMIt all depends on how you travel I guess...I am too scared of nature to have a snake bite and be far away from people who could otherwise call 911 for me. It's hard to pick because everyone travels differently. For example, I actually hate the Xbox because I dislike sharing Jed. And your mom could care less about behind the seat tvs on planes since her travel is all local. Maybe it's just too hard to pick.
